Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.79% or 55.0 points to trade at 3130.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.60% or 80.0 points to end at 13360.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was up 0.55% or 10.0 points to 1840.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which fell 3.15% or 190.0 points to trade at 5850.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 2.92% or 520.0 points to end at 17280.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was down 2.51% or 50.0 points to 1940.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 18 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.92% or 520.0 to 17280.0. Shares in Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.51% or 50.0 to 1940.0.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.21% or 2.45 to $113.40 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.80% or 17.00 to hit $2139.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.60 to trade at $1219.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.27% to 3253.20, while BRL/COP rose 1.70% to 838.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.295.
