Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.45% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which rose 9.70% or 4,600.00 points to trade at 52,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 3.66% or 270.00 points to end at 7,650.00 and Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB) was up 1.15% or 30.00 points to 2,630.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which fell 3.85% or 500.00 points to trade at 12,500.00 at the close. Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) declined 2.74% or 115.00 points to end at 4,080.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) was down 2.14% or 700.00 points to 32,000.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.15% or 30.00 to 2,630.00.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 3.49% or 8.35 to $230.75 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.83% or 69.00 to hit $8,217.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 9.70 to trade at $2,397.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.07% to 4,044.80, while BRL/COP fell 0.54% to 715.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 104.08.
