Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p), which rose 2.69% or 380.00 points to trade at 14,500.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p) added 1.29% or 300.00 points to end at 23,500.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) was up 0.41% or 80.00 points to 19,400.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promigas (BVC:PMG), which fell 2.95% or 230.00 points to trade at 7,570.00 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) declined 1.80% or 220.00 points to end at 12,000.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was down 1.45% or 65.00 points to 4,425.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 1 to 0.
Shares in Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.69% or 380.00 to 14,500.00.
US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.98% or 3.14 to $318.11 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 4.24% or 459.00 to hit $11,280.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.54% or 41.81 to trade at $2,667.59 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.13% to 4,339.39, while BRL/COP fell 0.96% to 718.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.63.
