Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 5.06% or 90.0 points to trade at 1870.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 1.97% or 580.0 points to end at 29960.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.92% or 560.0 points to 29700.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which fell 1.30% or 40.0 points to trade at 3040.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.20% or 6.0 points to end at 493.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was down 1.07% or 200.0 points to 18480.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 15 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.06% or 90.0 to 1870.0.
US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.04% or 2.50 to $120.22 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.31% or 6.00 to hit $1917.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.30 to trade at $1243.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.10% to 3013.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.29% to 911.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.85.
