Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.68% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which rose 4.25% or 1,300.00 points to trade at 31,900.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CFV) added 4.23% or 560.00 points to end at 13,800.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) was up 2.49% or 480.00 points to 19,780.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB), which fell 2.05% or 160.00 points to trade at 7,640.00 at the close. Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) declined 1.35% or 50.00 points to end at 3,655.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) was down 1.12% or 20.00 points to 1,760.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.49% or 480.00 to 19,780.00. Shares in Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.12% or 20.00 to 1,760.00.
US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.67% or 4.32 to $253.68 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.97% or 75.00 to hit $7,690.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 17.05 to trade at $2,708.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 4,252.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.05% to 752.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 103.59.
