Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.67% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 5.12% or 900.0 points to trade at 18480.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 2.02% or 260.0 points to end at 13140.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 2.00% or 150.0 points to 7650.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Conconcret (CN:CIC), which fell 3.05% or 11.0 points to trade at 350.0 at the close. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.37% or 6.0 points to end at 247.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was down 1.13% or 20.0 points to 1750.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 16 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.51% or 2.60 to $106.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.80% or 18.00 to hit $2263.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.95 to trade at $1279.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.63% to 3171.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.20% to 840.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 96.278.
