Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.40% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.17% or 65.0 points to trade at 3060.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.62% or 20.0 points to end at 1255.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 1.58% or 150.0 points to 9650.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Etb (CN:ETB), which fell 1.19% or 6.0 points to trade at 497.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.01% or 100.0 points to end at 9800.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was down 0.54% or 360.0 points to 65720.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for March delivery was down 2.43% or 3.06 to $122.97 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.21% or 23.00 to hit $1883.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.55% or 19.60 to trade at $1246.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.21% to 3016.25, while BRL/COP fell 1.46% to 916.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.74.
