Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.34% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 15.78% or 890.0 points to trade at 6530.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 7.73% or 530.0 points to end at 7390.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.96% or 340.0 points to 17700.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which fell 1.05% or 280.0 points to trade at 26400.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 0.91% or 15.0 points to end at 1625.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was down 0.83% or 500.0 points to 59500.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.27% or 1.70 to $135.85 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.14% or 32.50 to hit $2810.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.84% or 10.00 to trade at $1202.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.72% to 2507.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.82% to 825.81.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 98.58.
