Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 4.63% or 190.0 points to trade at 4290.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 3.00% or 480.0 points to end at 16480.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) was up 2.33% or 25.0 points to 1100.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which fell 0.68% or 20.0 points to trade at 2910.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) declined 0.47% or 5.0 points to end at 1065.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) was down 0.28% or 1.0 points to 360.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 11 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.34% or 0.35 to $102.75 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.21% or 28.00 to hit $2350.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1290.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.54% to 3132.55, while BRL/COP rose 0.09% to 835.19.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.727.
