Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumption and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3), which rose 2.24% or 1.01 points to trade at 46.04 at the close. Meanwhile, WEG SA (BVMF:WEGE3) added 1.44% or 0.77 points to end at 54.20 and Ambev SA (BVMF:ABEV3) was up 0.54% or 0.07 points to 13.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3), which fell 7.39% or 0.17 points to trade at 2.13 at the close. MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3) declined 5.42% or 0.41 points to end at 7.16 and Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3) was down 4.84% or 0.67 points to 13.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 495 to 444 and 53 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 5.47% to 25.66.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.09% or 27.80 to $2,519.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.40% or 1.01 to hit $72.94 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 2.68% or 6.67 to trade at $242.58 .
USD/BRL was up 1.73% to 5.58, while EUR/BRL rose 1.58% to 6.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 101.42.
