Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumption, Financials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB3), which rose 7.58% or 3.66 points to trade at 51.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Bradespar SA (SA:BRAP4) added 6.07% or 1.98 points to end at 34.58 and Embraer SA (SA:EMBR3) was up 5.22% or 1.15 points to 23.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Smiles Fidelidade SA (SA:SMLS3), which fell 9.13% or 5.26 points to trade at 52.36 at the close. B2W Cia Digital (SA:BTOW3) declined 6.95% or 1.86 points to end at 24.89 and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA:ELET6) was down 6.34% or 1.10 points to 16.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange by 277 to 147 and 35 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 4.25% to 31.14.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1300.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.75% or 0.49 to hit $65.03 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract fell 0.95% or 1.14 to trade at $118.28 .
USD/BRL was up 0.96% to 3.8453, while EUR/BRL rose 1.45% to 4.5253.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 93.62.
