Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumption and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.47% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF:MRFG3), which rose 4.32% or 0.60 points to trade at 14.50 at the close. Meanwhile, BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3) added 4.20% or 1.01 points to end at 25.05 and Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3) was up 1.90% or 0.82 points to 44.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:BRAV3), which fell 9.40% or 1.96 points to trade at 18.89 at the close. Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) declined 5.72% or 0.50 points to end at 8.24 and Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF:HAPV3) was down 4.08% or 0.19 points to 4.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 572 to 341 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:BRAV3) fell to all time lows; losing 9.40% or 1.96 to 18.89. Shares in Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) fell to all time lows; falling 5.72% or 0.50 to 8.24.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.75% to 26.77.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.52% or 13.45 to $2,612.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.76% or 1.23 to hit $71.11 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.70% or 1.85 to trade at $262.55 .
USD/BRL was down 0.69% to 5.42, while EUR/BRL fell 0.20% to 6.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.35.
