Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumption and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Klabin Unt (BVMF:KLBN11), which rose 3.58% or 0.76 points to trade at 21.96 at the close. Meanwhile, 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:RRRP3) added 3.58% or 0.92 points to end at 26.60 and Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (BVMF:SUZB3) was up 1.95% or 1.01 points to 52.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3), which fell 5.80% or 0.69 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3) declined 4.04% or 0.18 points to end at 4.27 and Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:USIM5) was down 3.95% or 0.25 points to 6.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 640 to 312 and 47 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.63% to 23.63.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $2,427.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.62% or 1.25 to hit $75.91 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.12% or 0.27 to trade at $229.98 .
USD/BRL was down 0.58% to 5.62, while EUR/BRL fell 0.65% to 6.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 104.34.
