Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumption and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3), which rose 3.41% or 0.49 points to trade at 14.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB3) added 2.01% or 0.81 points to end at 41.06 and EcoRodovias SA (SA:ECOR3) was up 1.95% or 0.19 points to 9.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BRF SA (SA:BRFS3), which fell 3.58% or 0.92 points to trade at 24.80 at the close. Natura Cosmeticos SA (SA:NATU3) declined 3.42% or 1.14 points to end at 32.21 and Ultrapar Participacoes SA (SA:UGPA3) was down 2.47% or 1.53 points to 60.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3) rose to 3-years highs; rising 3.41% or 0.49 to 14.85. Shares in Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB3) rose to all time highs; rising 2.01% or 0.81 to 41.06. Shares in Ultrapar Participacoes SA (SA:UGPA3) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.47% or 1.53 to 60.45.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.54% to 27.90.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.05% or 13.90 to $1305.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.60% or 1.10 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 1.71% or 2.10 to trade at $124.88 .
USD/BRL was up 0.02% to 3.5076, while EUR/BRL fell 1.26% to 4.1820.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 92.27.
