Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Electric Power and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3), which rose 4.35% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3) added 4.01% or 0.37 points to end at 9.60 and Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3) was up 3.32% or 0.24 points to 7.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WEG SA (BVMF:WEGE3), which fell 5.16% or 2.94 points to trade at 54.00 at the close. Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3) declined 2.08% or 1.04 points to end at 49.08 and IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF:IRBR3) was down 1.73% or 0.76 points to 43.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 531 to 419 and 47 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.61% to 31.29.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.57% or 15.90 to $2,797.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.60% or 1.75 to hit $68.96 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.56% or 1.40 to trade at $249.50 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.07% to 5.76, while EUR/BRL rose 0.40% to 6.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 103.98.
