Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Real Estate and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 2.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3), which rose 7.48% or 0.94 points to trade at 13.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco do Brasil SA (SA:BBAS3) added 7.01% or 1.72 points to end at 26.24 and Localiza Rent a Car SA (SA:RENT3) was up 6.45% or 1.45 points to 23.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB3), which fell 5.27% or 2.44 points to trade at 43.85 at the close. Klabin Unt (SA:KLBN11) declined 1.97% or 0.40 points to end at 19.90 and Vale SA (SA:VALE3) was down 1.85% or 0.91 points to 48.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange by 258 to 173 and 26 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.92% to 34.17.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.17% or 2.20 to $1277.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.17% or 0.77 to hit $64.92 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.17% or 0.20 to trade at $116.42 .
USD/BRL was down 0.17% to 3.7408, while EUR/BRL fell 0.41% to 4.3374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 94.62.
