Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Basic Materials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which rose 22.52% or 0.91 points to trade at 4.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3) added 14.29% or 0.26 points to end at 2.08 and Braskem SA (BVMF:BRKM5) was up 7.79% or 1.40 points to 19.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3), which fell 2.98% or 0.27 points to trade at 8.80 at the close. Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3) declined 2.67% or 0.25 points to end at 9.11 and Vibra Energia SA (BVMF:VBBR3) was down 1.60% or 0.41 points to 25.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 592 to 340 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) fell to all time lows; losing 2.98% or 0.27 to 8.80.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.49% to 27.55.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.09% or 28.05 to $2,608.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.38% or 0.26 to hit $69.23 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 3.56% or 8.88 to trade at $258.28 .
USD/BRL was down 1.06% to 5.57, while EUR/BRL fell 0.83% to 6.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.12.
