Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumption and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3), which rose 4.56% or 0.33 points to trade at 7.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambev SA (BVMF:ABEV3) added 3.98% or 0.52 points to end at 13.60 and Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:PETZ3) was up 3.39% or 0.16 points to 4.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3), which fell 4.69% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.12 at the close. Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4) declined 4.65% or 0.29 points to end at 5.95 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) was down 2.27% or 0.15 points to 6.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 567 to 375 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) fell to all time lows; down 4.69% or 0.35 to 7.12. Shares in Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) fell to all time lows; losing 2.27% or 0.15 to 6.46.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 4.95% to 28.65 a new 1-month high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.81% or 21.60 to $2,681.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.59% or 2.45 to hit $70.62 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 2.39% or 6.47 to trade at $263.78 .
USD/BRL was up 0.36% to 5.47, while EUR/BRL fell 0.30% to 6.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 100.95.
