Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.28% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Klabin Unt (BVMF:KLBN11), which rose 3.71% or 0.79 points to trade at 22.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Braskem SA (BVMF:BRKM5) added 3.61% or 0.62 points to end at 17.79 and Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:PETZ3) was up 3.00% or 0.14 points to 4.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3), which fell 5.14% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.03 at the close. Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) declined 4.11% or 0.44 points to end at 10.27 and Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3) was down 4.02% or 0.21 points to 5.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 535 to 381 and 56 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.26% to 25.54.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.52% or 13.25 to $2,554.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.56% or 0.41 to hit $73.25 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.70% or 1.70 to trade at $246.05 .
USD/BRL was up 1.20% to 5.48, while EUR/BRL rose 1.70% to 6.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 101.23.
