Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF:RADL3), which rose 4.13% or 1.04 points to trade at 26.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Itausa - Investimentos Itau SA (BVMF:ITSA4) added 3.84% or 0.41 points to end at 11.08 and Braskem SA (BVMF:BRKM5) was up 3.28% or 0.56 points to 17.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacadao SA (BVMF:CRFB3), which fell 4.30% or 0.35 points to trade at 7.79 at the close. Tim Participacoes SA (BVMF:TIMS3) declined 3.81% or 0.64 points to end at 16.15 and Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3) was down 2.70% or 0.16 points to 5.77.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 477 to 454 and 58 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.73% to 36.11 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 4.90 to $2,751.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.91% or 0.65 to hit $72.12 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.05% or 5.05 to trade at $251.00 .
USD/BRL was down 0.83% to 5.74, while EUR/BRL fell 0.38% to 6.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.35.
