- Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will release three new iPhones this fall, according to Bloomberg sources.
- The lineup will include the largest iPhone ever (close to a 6.5-inch screen), a lower cost version of the iPhone X, and a budget-friendly option that doesn’t skimp on the features.
- The large, phablet iPhone could have a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688 and will include an OLED panel and Face ID like the X.
- The phablet and the smaller, updated iPhone X version will both have next-gen A12 processors and stainless steel edges.
- Apple is considering a dual-SIM card option for the larger model, which could sell well in Europe and Asia where customers travel between countries more frequently.
- The third, lower cost version will have an edge-to-edge screen and Face ID like the X but a cheaper LCD screen, aluminum edges, and a glass back.
- Apple sold 77.3M iPhones in Q4 of CY17 compared to the 80.2M expected by analysts.
- Apple shares are up 1.9%.
