Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which rose 1.82% or 0.32 points to trade at 17.95 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC (BR:KBC) added 1.79% or 1.080 points to end at 61.420 and Sofina (BR:SOF) was up 1.46% or 2.60 points to 181.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which fell 10.82% or 1.42 points to trade at 11.70 at the close. Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) declined 1.85% or 1.88 points to end at 99.52 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was down 1.81% or 1.21 points to 65.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 38 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in bpost NV (BR:BPOST) fell to all time lows; falling 10.82% or 1.42 to 11.70. Shares in Sofina (BR:SOF) rose to all time highs; rising 1.46% or 2.60 to 181.20.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.20 to $1224.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.94% or 0.58 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.32% or 0.95 to trade at $71.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1412, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8705.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 96.15.
