Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 1.19%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Aperam SA (AS:APAM), which rose 7.22% or 1.75 points to trade at 26.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (BR:ARGX) added 4.27% or 3.20 points to end at 78.20 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was up 3.51% or 0.34 points to 10.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB), which fell 0.09% or 0.10 points to trade at 107.20 at the close. Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) added 0.14% or 0.08 points to end at 56.70 and UCB (BR:UCB) was up 0.32% or 0.24 points to 75.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 70 to 41 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) rose to all time highs; rising 0.14% or 0.08 to 56.70.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 5.90 to $1227.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.78% or 2.02 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.45% or 1.53 to trade at $64.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1386, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8917.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 96.637.
