Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Mining and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 6.51% or 6.30 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. Meanwhile, BMCI (CS:BMCI) added 6.25% or 40 points to end at 680 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) was up 5.99% or 1.43 points to 25.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which fell 5.85% or 7.90 points to trade at 127.10 at the close. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) declined 5.80% or 160 points to end at 2600 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was down 5.63% or 18.00 points to 302.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 24 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in BMCI (CS:BMCI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.25% or 40 to 680.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.28% or 0.63 to $49.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.88% or 0.97 to hit $52.46 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.60 to trade at $1269.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.17% to 11.1260, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.4734.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 93.23.
