Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.73% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO), which rose 4.33% or 4.120 points to trade at 99.290 at the close. Meanwhile, Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL) added 4.41% or 0.450 points to end at 10.650 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) was up 3.89% or 0.870 points to 23.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which fell 2.36% or 0.55 points to trade at 22.74 at the close. Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) declined 1.57% or 4.550 points to end at 284.800 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) was down 1.48% or 3.780 points to 251.720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 99 to 54 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.29% or 3.60 to $1261.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 4.08% or 1.41 to hit $35.98 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 4.45% or 1.65 to trade at $38.72 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.70% to 17.7940, while EUR/MXN fell 0.38% to 19.5642.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 97.37.
