Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Services, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 8.55% or 530.0 points to trade at 6730.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 5.75% or 340.0 points to end at 6250.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 2.81% or 0.5 points to 18.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to trade at 4830.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 1625.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 0.35% or 80.0 points to 22980.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 23 to 1 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.77% or 1.02 to $133.72 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 1.57% or 42.50 to hit $2746.00 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.80% or 21.30 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.92% to 2576.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.21% to 812.26.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 98.52.
