Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 2.41% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 0.12% or 0.15 points to trade at 123.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) fell 0.26% or 0.400 points to end at 153.600 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 0.38% or 0.010 points to 2.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 4.43% or 0.592 points to trade at 12.760 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN) declined 4.39% or 29.60 points to end at 644.20 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was down 4.38% or 4.90 points to 107.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 117 to 11 and 14 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 17.58% to 19.76 a new 6-months high.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.40% or 0.78 to $54.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.20% or 1.98 to hit $59.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.31% or 19.05 to trade at $1476.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.87% to 1.1203, while EUR/GBP rose 0.98% to 0.9224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 97.282.
