Investing.com - Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) released its third quarter results during Tuesday’s after hours sessions, which showed the company just topped expectations for revenue, earnings, and iPhone sales.
Apple earned $1.67 per share on $45.41 billion in revenue in the third quarter of 2017. Analysts polled by Factset were looking for earnings of $1.57 per share on revenue of $44.89 billion. Apple sold 41.03 million iPhones in the quarter, just above the 41 million analysts called for. The company is expected to launch a new iPhone this afternoon.
Apple’s shares were last up nearly 5% in the after hours session. They closed the regular session up 0.9%.
