Investing.com -- Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) held its Peek Performance event Tuesday, where it announced its newest version of the iPhone SE with its latest mobile processor and 5G capability.
The tech giant said the latest edition of its entry-level iPhone will include the "toughest glass on a smartphone" and starts at $429, with pre-orders starting Friday, March 18. The new SE will also have the advanced features of Apple's latest A15 bionic chip.
Apple described the new SE as a "powerful new iPhone in an iconic design, with exceptional capabilities and performance at an incredible price."
The company announced the Mac Studio, Apple's latest addition to the Mac lineup. The company said that the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra will have an 80% faster GPU performance than the Mac Pro. In addition, the Mac Studio Display has a 27-inch screen. The Mac Studio will start at $1,999 with the M1 Max and $3,999 with the M1 Ultra.
Alongside the new SE and Mac Studio, the company made other announcements such as its new M1 Ultra chip, and a new iPad Air, and two new colors for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13.
Speaking about its Apple TV+ product, the company announced its streaming service will feature two Major League Baseball games on Fridays during the regular season.
Apple shares are down 0.6% after bouncing between a high of $162.88 and a low of $155.80 during Tuesday's session.
