Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.28% or 0.145 points to trade at 11.445 at the close. Meanwhile, Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) added 0.88% or 0.028 points to end at 3.208 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 0.35% or 0.0130 points to 3.6910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 2.04% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.7670 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.79% or 0.0430 points to end at 2.3610 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 1.24% or 0.0650 points to 5.1850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.93% or 0.48 to $52.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.86% or 0.41 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.96 to trade at $1292.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1801, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.9233.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 93.22.
