Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.30% or 0.0340 points to trade at 2.6400 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.73% or 0.0410 points to end at 5.6260 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.57% or 0.075 points to 13.175 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 4.00% or 0.615 points to trade at 14.750 at the close. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 3.03% or 0.016 points to end at 0.512 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 2.56% or 0.3500 points to 13.3100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.57% or 0.075 to 13.175.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.37% or 1.11 to $45.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.70% or 1.20 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.49 to trade at $1245.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1124, while EUR/GBP rose 0.73% to 0.8815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.47.
