Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 5.97% or 0.865 points to trade at 15.365 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae (LS:YSO) added 4.31% or 0.0400 points to end at 0.9690 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 2.56% or 0.1000 points to 4.0000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 1.73% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.6060 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 0.01% or 0.0010 points to end at 7.0290 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.63% or 0.30 to $47.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.34 to hit $44.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.23 to trade at $1249.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 97.15.
