Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Food Producers & Processors and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 4.58% or 1.19 points to trade at 27.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) added 4.31% or 7.75 points to end at 187.75 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was up 3.40% or 1.94 points to 58.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hps (CS:HPS), which fell 5.33% or 80.00 points to trade at 1420.00 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) declined 5.23% or 16 points to end at 290 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was down 4.76% or 16.00 points to 320.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 26 to 15 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.58% or 1.19 to 27.19.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.19% or 0.55 to $46.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.29% or 0.63 to hit $49.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.02 to trade at $1241.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.11% to 11.0520, while USD/MAD rose 0.19% to 9.5940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.56.
