Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto, Glass and Oil, Gas & Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Bizlink (TW:3665), which rose 9.95% or 19.50 points to trade at 215.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Kian Shen (TW:1525) added 9.95% or 11.00 points to end at 121.50 and Sintronic Tech (TW:3536) was up 9.85% or 1.00 points to 11.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swancor (TW:4733), which fell 8.78% or 11.50 points to trade at 119.50 at the close. Precision (TW:3016) declined 8.23% or 2.05 points to end at 22.85 and Acelon Chem Fi (TW:1466) was down 4.86% or 0.70 points to 13.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 395 to 364 and 94 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.22% or 0.09 to $41.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $43.89 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.42% or 5.20 to trade at $1231.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.31% to 32.331, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.2002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.93.
