Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Food Producers and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Ahold Kon (AS:AHLN), which rose 1.91% or 0.36 points to trade at 19.49 at the close. Meanwhile, KPN Kon (AS:KPN) added 1.45% or 0.050 points to end at 3.487 and Boskalis Westmin (AS:BOSN) was up 1.25% or 0.51 points to 40.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which fell 4.53% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.28 at the close. Altice NV (AS:ATCA) declined 3.76% or 0.57 points to end at 14.70 and Gemalto (AS:GTO) was down 1.35% or 0.79 points to 57.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 90 to 80 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL) fell to all time lows; losing 4.53% or 0.30 to 6.28.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 2.74% to 24.94 a new 1-month high.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.91% or 0.37 to $41.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.09% or 0.48 to hit $43.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.40 to trade at $1084.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.0704, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.7036.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 99.36.
