Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which rose 3.46% or 0.230 points to trade at 6.870 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) added 2.99% or 0.56 points to end at 19.29 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) was up 2.82% or 0.020 points to 0.730 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which fell 8.39% or 9.40 points to trade at 102.60 at the close. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 2.81% or 1.160 points to end at 40.100 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 2.77% or 0.74 points to 25.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 189 to 139 and 80 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 3.18% or 42.95 to $1391.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 5.58% or 3.01 to hit $56.98 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 4.19% or 2.59 to trade at $64.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 5.7796, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 6.5214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 96.230.
