Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.97% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 6.81% or 750 points to trade at 11760 at the close. Meanwhile, Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) added 4.32% or 143 points to end at 3454 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 3.78% or 329 points to 9042 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which fell 1.33% or 7.6 points to trade at 564.4 at the close. First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) declined 1.10% or 72 points to end at 6470 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 1.02% or 22 points to 2145.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 201 to 191 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.33% or 7.6 to 564.4. Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell to all time lows; losing 1.02% or 22 to 2145.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.92% or 0.42 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.42 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.16 to trade at $1217.94 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.5422, while EUR/ILS fell 0.01% to 4.0391.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.56.
