Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon NV (AS:AEGN), which rose 1.55% or 0.070 points to trade at 4.598 at the close. Meanwhile, Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) added 1.32% or 1.1000 points to end at 84.7000 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 0.86% or 0.090 points to 10.498 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which fell 2.72% or 1.33 points to trade at 47.54 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 2.52% or 0.394 points to end at 15.214 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) was down 2.33% or 1.90 points to 79.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 74 to 46 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY) rose to all time highs; rising 1.32% or 1.1000 to 84.7000.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 3.73% to 11.76.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.24% or 0.14 to $57.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 0.99 to hit $64.29 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.42% or 20.15 to trade at $1400.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.1219, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8960.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 96.912.
