Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.83% or 0.265 points to trade at 14.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.27% or 0.2150 points to end at 17.2000 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.99% or 0.0290 points to 2.9610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.86% or 0.0074 points to trade at 0.2514 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 1.74% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.3380 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 1.10% or 0.0110 points to 0.9850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.99% or 0.48 to $48.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.95% or 0.44 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 10.76 to trade at $1228.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1453, while EUR/GBP fell 0.61% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.02.
