Even though FANG and most of the S&P 500 has reported, that doesn’t mean this earnings season is over. In fact, it’s just the opposite.
Many small and mid-cap companies are among the over 1,000 companies reporting this week. There’s plenty of earnings action still to go.
Who will everyone be tuning into this week? These 5 hot names are at the top of the list. They all have been in the news for a variety of reasons, some good, and some bad.
But these are the companies that the Street will be watching. You should be too.
This Week’s Hottest Earnings Charts
1. Priceline (NASDAQ:PCLN) has one of the best earnings surprise records on the Street. It hasn’t missed in over 5 years, which is impressive and not easy to do. Shares broke out to new highs early in 2017 but have since fallen back. Will this report push shares to new highs again?
2. Snap (NYSE:SNAP) is coming off a miss. This is just its third earnings report since its IPO. Will investors show patience with this company?
3. Square (NYSE:SQ) has become a darling of Wall Street. Shares are soaring but it’s trading with a forward P/E of 185 now. Its beaten 5 quarters in a row. Is it priced for perfection?
4. Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) has only missed once in 5 years. Last quarter, it looked like it was priced for perfection but it came through with a monster earnings beat and shares surged even higher. Can it do it again?
5. Macy’s (NYSE:M) will be on everyone’s radar to see if retail really is “dead” or if the department stores are just dormant. It has beat 2 out of the last 4 quarters, but the earnings miss/beat isn’t the whole story here.
[In full disclosure, the author of this article owns shares of PCLN in her personal portfolio.]

The Hottest Tech Mega-Trend of All
Last year, it generated $8 billion in global revenues. By 2020, it's predicted to blast through the roof to $47 billion. Famed investor Mark Cuban says it will produce "the world's first trillionaires," but that should still leave plenty of money for regular investors who make the right trades early.
