S&P 500 Futures: #ES 2581
After grinding higher in the overnight session, the S&P 500 futures opened yesterday’s regular trading hours at 2576.00, and rallied up 2581.50 in the first 15 minutes of trade. From there, the futures turned lower breaking down to 2567.75 just before 9:00, and then after a five handle rally sold off down to 2547.50 just before 10:00 for the morning low. After that, the ES rallied up to 2560.75, then made a higher low at 2550.50 just after the Euro close, before pushing up to a late morning high of 2568.25, and then losing a few handles into the noon hour.
The afternoon saw a second higher low as the ES pushed its way up to 2573.50 heading into the final hour. The last hour of the day saw the futures rally up to 2577.00, with the actual MOC coming out at $1.2 billion to buy, and traded 2574.50 on the 3:00 close, before settling the day at 2572.00, up +21.50 handles, or +0.84%.
