Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are down this morning with tensions still mounting with North Korea. Investors are cautious about another possible missile test from North Korea over the weekend and the fallout from that. In addition, investors are also watching hurricane Irma as it is expected to make landfall in Florida Saturday night or Sunday morning. Asian stocks were mostly lower to end the week.
Technicals
The SPY (NYSE:SPY) traded within a tight range during yesterday’s session finding resistance at Wednesday’s high. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $246.40, followed by $246.23, then the 20EMA at $245.85, the 50SMA at $245.30, then $244.95, $244.62, $242.93, the 100SMA at $242.88, then $241.83, and $240.85.
Resistance will lie at the high of Yesterday’s range at $247.28, followed by gap entry at $247.52, then gap fill at $247.67, then $248.33, ascending resistance at $248.82 and record highs at $248.91.
