S&P 500 Futures: ES Up 12.75% Since December 26 2316.75 Low

After trading lower going into yesterday’s U.S. open, the S&P 500 futures printed 2584.75 on the 8:30 CT bell, and quickly made a low for the day two ticks beneath there. Early buy programs helped push the benchmark futures contract up to 2607.00 for the early high just after 9:00. Following a 14.25 handle pullback the S&P resumed buying, making its way up to the late morning high of 2613.75 just after 11:00, before pulling back a little going into the noon hour.
The afternoon saw early weakness, as the ES sold off down to an afternoon low of 2605.75, then after a mid-afternoon high of 2611.50, the S&P’s sold off down to 2594.00 as the British Parliament was voting on the Brexit situation. The futures rallied up to 2612.50 going into the close, and went on to settle the day at 2604.50, up +24.00 or +0.93%.
