Trading the 3:30 Ramp
Okay so the headline might be a bit of an exageration but the past two trading days, when 3:30pm eastern typically triggers an end of day run, the exact opposite has happened where stocks start to slide out of absolutely nowhere.
Perhaps it is just a temporary thing, but one can't deny that the past two days has been quite different, where instead of retail money pouring into managed assets at the end of day, it appears that retail might be booking some recent gains of their own.
That doesn't mean we need to get net short on this market but you need to make sure you are managing risk by not getting to heavy on tilled on your share allocation, particularly to the long side and maintaining the flexibility to flip net short if need be.
On, and you need to read up on the T2108 chart I posted, showing the massive bear divergence on this indicator and what you can do to prepare.
Make sure to keep an eye on oil and its ETF counterpart United States Oil Fund (NYSE:USO) which had a massive sell-off today and should be a concern going forward, as oil is clearly trying to push back toward the November lows once again.
