Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Property, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 4.53% or 4.450 points to trade at 102.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) added 3.08% or 0.230 points to end at 7.700 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was up 2.08% or 38.00 points to 1867.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP), which fell 1.38% or 0.55 points to trade at 39.20 at the close. First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) declined 0.95% or 0.18 points to end at 18.82 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 0.47% or 1.00 points to 210.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 103 to 94 and 49 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.50% or 6.28 to $1252.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.81% or 0.35 to hit $43.73 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.45 to trade at $46.49 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.51% to 7.3685, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 50.220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 96.72.
