Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 13.67% or 19.8 points to trade at 165.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 1.83% or 9.2 points to end at 513.2 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 1.49% or 3.5 points to 238.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 2.18% or 8.8 points to trade at 395.1 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.26% or 1.0 points to end at 79.8 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was down 1.18% or 1.7 points to 142.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 361 to 268 and 61 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.19% or 0.11 to $59.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $65.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 5.25 to trade at $1410.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.5455, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 9.2757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 95.762.
