U.S. unemployment rate falls unexpectedly

Investing.com - The rate of unemployment in the U.S. last month fell unexpectedly, official data showed on Thursday.

In a report, the U.S. Department of Labor said the unemployment rate fell to a seasonally adjusted 7.5%, from 7.6% in the preceding month .

Analysts had expected the U.S. unemployment rate to remain unchanged at 7.6% last month.
