Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.88% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 5.60% or 0.034 points to trade at 0.641 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 4.68% or 0.110 points to end at 2.460 and Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) was up 4.59% or 0.170 points to 3.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 40.99% or 1.57 points to trade at 2.26 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 4.93% or 0.010 points to end at 0.206 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 4.17% or 0.0100 points to 0.2300.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 79 to 28 and 12 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.49% or 6.18 to $1250.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.31% or 0.14 to hit $45.11 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.38% or 0.18 to trade at $47.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1165, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8770.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.11.
