Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.61% or 1.15 points to trade at 33.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 2.37% or 0.32 points to end at 13.80 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 2.13% or 1.70 points to 81.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 2.04% or 139.75 points to trade at 6701.00 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 1.43% or 3.40 points to end at 234.90 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was down 1.35% or 1.47 points to 107.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 261 to 227 and 175 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA (WA:ENAE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.37% or 0.32 to 13.80.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.88% or 0.39 to $44.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.83% or 0.39 to hit $47.10 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.66 to trade at $1212.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.05% to 4.2399, while USD/PLN rose 0.04% to 3.7198.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.81.
