BRUSSELS, March 19 (Reuters) - The European Union and Argentina have a settled a dispute that Argentina brought to the World Trade Organisation regarding legislation on genetically modified crops, the European Commission said on Friday.
"The mutually agreed solution provides for the establishment of a regular dialogue on issues of mutual interest on biotechnology applied to agriculture," the Commission, the EU's executive arm, said in a statement.
The EU and Argentina will notify the WTO of the settlement, which relates to a complaint brought by the United States, Canada and Argentina and which the WTO began considering in 2006. A settlement with Canada was already reached.
